Tunisia: Magistrate Taieb Rached cleared in corruption case

The former first president of the Court of Cassation was acquitted by the Indictment Chamber of the Tunis Court of Appeal in a corruption case.

According to Mosaïque FM, the Indictment Chamber responsible for examining financial corruption cases has decided to shut the charges against Taieb Rached for insufficient proof.

Two other defendants, a company agent and a person residing abroad, in connection with this same case, were referred to the Tunis Court of First Instance.

It should be reported that Taieb Rached remains detained pending other cases examined by the Judicial and Financial Pole and other judicial bodies.
