President of the Republic Kaïs Saïed welcomed, Thursday representatives of professional judicial structures at the Carthage Palace including the president of the Tunisian Magistrates Association (AMT) Anas Hmaidi.
During this meeting,Hmaidi repeated the request to grant diplomatic passports to judges,similar to their counterparts in several nations, “so that they are treated in a manner deserving of the authority to which they belong.”Moreover, access to medical services in the military hospital was laid on the table.
Hmaidi also examined, during this meeting, the challenging conditions in which judges work in terms of the absence of means, the weak infrastructure of courts and the low level and quality of judicial services, which calls for an urgent intervention to save justice from breakdown .
