Tunisia – Magnitude 2.3 earthquake in Gafsa

The seismic monitoring stations of the National Institute of Meteorology registered an earthquake this Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 3:43 p.m. (local time). Its magnitude reached 2.3 degrees on the Richter scale, and its epicentre was determined at 34.54 degrees latitude and 9.11 degrees longitude, northwest of Sened in the Gafsa governorate
