The regional health directorate in Mahdia revealed 19 new cases of COVID-19 out of 70 kited samples,additionally two news deaths were registered.
The deceased are from El Jem (a 90-year-old man) and Chebba (an 82-year-old woman), bringing the number of coronavirus-related deaths to 23 since the epidemic spread. Regarding the new cases of contamination, they were discovered in: – Mahdia (4 cases), – El Jem (8 cases), – Sidi Alouane and Chebba (2 cases in each of the delegations), – Ksour Essef, Essouassi and Ouled Chamekh (1 case in each delegation). Thus, the total number of contaminations reached 765 cases, of which 250 still carry the virus. In addition, the region saw 15 new cases of recovery bringing to 492 the total number of people recovered since the spread of the epidemic.
