Speaking to a private radio, Maher Ghribi, Regional Trade Director of Tunis revealed the import of more than 10,000 tons of rice and 100,000 tons of sugar at the start of February, which will be allocated to retail and wholesale traders in the forthcoming days.

He added that no shortage has been registered in the supply of semolina and flour, adding that the high demand for these materials and speculation is at the root of the disturbance recorded for this purpose.
