The vice president of the independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) Maher Jedidi affirmed today that calls for a boycott of the legislative elections, the cancellation of public funding and the obligation to present 400 sponsorships had a tremendous influence on the participation rate that reached 8.8%.
He pointed out that the final results will be declared on January 19, 2023. The second round of the elections will then be organized in more than 100 constituencies.
According to Jedidi, a new parliament will be executed next March, regardless of election results.
