Tunisia-Mahjoub Ouni: No monkeypox case recorded in Tunisia

Professor of virology and member of the scientific committee for the fight against covid-19, Mahjoub Ouni confirmed that no case of monkeypox has been registered in Tunisia.
 
He told the TAP, that the virus is currently active, particularly in Spain where 4300 people have contracted the virus and that at the national level no case has yet been detected.
 
“The ministry is following the subject closely,” he further said. Professor Ouni finally called on citizens to report suspected cases while advocating a systematic 21-day quarantine in the event of a discovery of proven cases.
