Tunisia-Mahmoud Abbas: Beji Caid Essebsi’s passing is a big loss for Tunisia, Palestine and the entire world

Faithfully delivering a funeral eulogy at President Beji Caid Essebsi‘s memorial service, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that Essebsi‘s passing undoubtedly represents an overwhelmingly big loss to Tunisia, Palestine and the entire world.
“Tunisia retains an exceptional place in our hearts. We cannot forget that from Tunisia. We started our trip back to Palestine,” Abbas said in his tribute speech. “We came today from Palestine to graciously offer our sincere condolences in profound respect of the great leader and friend, the late Beji Caid Essebsi,” added Abbas.

Moreover, Abbas described the late president as a man who has shielded Tunisia and properly ensured its stability and democracy at the most difficult times.
