Tunisia-Malek Zahi: 62,000 free care books removed from false holders

During the plenary session of the House of People’s Representatives dedicated to examining the budget of the Ministry of Social Affairs for the year 2024, Minister of Social Affairs Malek Zahi said, in reply to questions from deputies, that 62,000 free care books (white colour) were removed from their false holders.

“The holders of these cards are not the actual beneficiaries of these cards and they have several hectares of agricultural land, businesses and vehicles.”

The minister, in this context, reported that the free white and yellow care books will be substituted by the “Social Amen program” cards. The objective is to secure greater social equity for needy categories.
