Tunisia-Malek Zahi: The government has no intention of lifting subsidy

During a plenary session held at the parliament, Minister of Social Affairs, Malek Zahi, denied the government’s intention to lift the subsidies that the state takes from its public budgets.

Zahi further recalled that this is the same position voiced by President Kais Saïed who declined any diktat or order to lift subsidies.

On another aspect, the minister confirmed that the government’s policy cannot go in the direction of harming the livelihoods of Tunisians.
