A car diver died after his car collided with a freight train from Beja at around 9 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020, at the intersection of the Oranges district at Manouba.
The accident happened when a train hit a car that was trapped in front of the locomotive pulling it several meters, resulting in the injury and death of its driver on the spot.
The representative of the prosecution, as well as the security units, arrived at the accident site, where the body was taken to the forensic services.
The Civil protection proceeded their intervention to separate the chassis that remained stuck to the front of the train and to restore rail and intersection traffic interrupted by the accident.
Authorities opened an inquiry in the subject matter.
