Tunisia- Mayor of Ezzahra threatened for taking action against spread of coronavirus

In a video published on his official page, the mayor of Ezzahra, Mohamed Rayen Hamzaoui, stated that he had received death threats on the evening of Tuesday, September 22, 2020, after his decision to ban hookah and card games in the town’s cafes.

He claims to have received an anonymous call. His interlocutor insulted him and made threats against him.

Mohamed Rayen Hamzaoui added that his brother was also the owner of a café in the region, but when it comes to the health of citizens everything else becomes secondary.
