Tunisia-Medenine: 127 infections among students during the last 24 hours

The director of preventive health at the regional health directorate of Medenine Zid EL Anz confirmed to Tunisie Numérique that 2 deaths and 479 new infections have been registered during the last 24 hours, including 5 cases in children out of 1896 tests carried out.

El Anz said the test positivity rate reached 25.3%. Among those infected are 127 pupils, adds the official, revealing that the number of contaminations among learners has reached 1,644 since the resumption of classes at the start of January.

According to the same source, 1,307 deaths and 41,765 cases have been documented in the region since the start of the spread of the pandemic.
