Tunisian Minister Brahim Bartagi chaired a working session with the United States Air Force Secretary Barbara McConnell Barrett on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Mr Bartagi commended the vital American support in the areas of border security and fight against terrorism.
For her part, Barbara Barrett asserted the commitment of the American administration to assist the Tunisian military institution in the face of threats confronting the region.
The two sides emphasised the importance of the signed road map last September by the defence ministers of the two countries, which strives to improve the readiness and capacities of the Tunisian armed forces to face security threats.
