Tunisia- Middle East article: Ennahdha accuses Nadia Akacha, calls for an inquiry

Ennahdha issued a press release as a reaction to a document released by the Middle East site regarding the possibility of isolating House Speaker Rached Ghannouchi and prime minister Hicheme Mechichi.

Ennahada condemned the allegations in the document addressed by the party to the head of the presidential cabinet Nadia Akacha as well as the “dangerous suggestions” it contains under the pretence of article 80 of the constitution.

The party called for a “serious” inquiry to “reassure national and international public opinion.”

It called on all associations and NGOs to exercise pressure to protect democracy and state institutions, considering that the national dialogue must take place as soon as possible.
