In a personal statement to “Tunisie Numérique”, Munji Salim president of the Red Crescent Regional Committee in Medenine asserted that 65 stranded migrants from  Bangladesh rejected voluntary repatriation. He also added that nine Egyptians, a Moroccan and Sudanese were deported. Moreover, the medical team was transported yesterday to properly inspect the migrants and the boat crew.

when meeting them, many underage Bangladesh migrants demanded fuel and the reparation of their boats in order, to continue their journey to Italy. The migrants were informed that their request was unreasonable and cannot be bypassed by the law.  Munji Salim added, that the ambassador of Bangladesh would turn to Medenine in order, to try to resolve the problem and convince the migrants to return voluntarily.
