Tunisia-Minister of Defense: The army could intervene in Redayef

Defense Minister Ibrahim Albartagi stated in a plenary session dedicated to examining the ministry’s budget on Monday, November 30 that military forces are not responsible for maintaining general order, but they are intervening to defend private establishments if the police are no longer control the situation.
He added that the situation in the nation is characterized by precarious calm, he has also registered an increase in the rate of social demonstrations which requires a state of alert to deal with smugglers and terrorist operations.

Ibrahim Al Bartagi also said that the army could intervene if necessary in Redayef governorate of Gafsa.
