On the sidelines of his visit to the governorate of Kasserine to mark the 11th anniversary of Martyr Day, the Minister of Health Ali Mrabet talked about the epidemiological situation in the country following the discovery of the “Omicron” strain. The minister disclosed that Tunisia is encountering an upsurge in the number of deaths and contamination by Covid-19, adding that the ministry has put in place all the required measures in case the situation deteriorates further.
He, in the same vein, called on citizens to respect barrier rules and health protocol to curb the spread of the virus. Recollecting that more than 6 million Tunisians have been fully vaccinated, Mrabet called on citizens to receive the booster dose.
