The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated it is permanently in contact with members of the Tunisian community in Ukraine through the country’s embassy in Moscow, the Honorary Consulate in Kiev and Tunisian associations in this country.
In a statement issued on Tuesday evening, the department likewise said that it was in touch with the Ukrainian authorities who confirmed that “the situation in the country is ordinary” and “not worrying for the Tunisian community, particularly students.” Classes are continuing normally in Ukrainian universities and flights to and from the country are still conducted.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reassures that no issues have been reported for the time being among members of the Tunisian community in Kiev. It called on them to stay in contact with the Tunisian embassy in Moscow to give it an update about their situation and report any problems encountered, in anticipation of any developments in the region.
