Tunisia-Ministry of Foreign Affairs: “Tunisia is closely following developments in Chad”

The Foreign Ministry announced that Tunisia was closely following developments in Chad after the passing of President Idriss Deby Itno.It expressed its sincere compassion to the families of the late president and to all the brotherly Chadian people.

The department additionally asserted adherence to the rules of democracy and the refusal of violence in all its forms and hopes that the current crisis will be settled in a way that shields the security and stability of Chad and the entire region.
