The Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry is currently exploring the probabilities to generalise distance learning for affiliated institutions, employing means of the virtual university as a prevention and protection measure against the spread of coronavirus, reads a press release on Sunday.

“The generalisation of distance education aims to ensure the smooth running of courses in universities and research departments,” the ministry pointed out, indicating that a meeting, chaired by Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Slim Chouri, had been devoted to the examination of solutions to preserve the health of students and teachers, notably in this current situation.
