Tunisia-Ministry of Interior gives its version on suicide of young fruit seller in Mornag

The Interior Ministry addressed, in a statement issued in the evening of this Saturday, September 24, 2022, the suicide case of a young fruit seller today in Mornag.

The ministry stated that the prosecution permitted the opening of a probe for “suspicious death”.

“Contrary to what circulated on social networks on the circumstances surrounding the suicide perpetrated by the victim, preliminary research has demonstrated, through hearings of witnesses, that the deceased lived with serious family conflicts. As for the question of its anarchic stall, the incident dates back to Thursday, the deceased posed its anarchic display outside the municipal market in Mornag and as part of the execution of a municipal decision to stop anarchic displays. He was alerted, and the municipal police just seized the electronic balance he operated by asking him to regularize his situation with the municipal services of the region, “said the ministry, adding that the investigation continues to Define the circumstances of the drama.
