Tunisia-Ministry of Justice announces launch of procedures for the payment of compensation to dismissed magistrates

The Ministry of Justice declared this afternoon that it had begun the procedures for paying compensation to the 57 dismissed judges. The same source explained that these allowances have been legally set at one month’s salary for each year of service, provided that the total amount of allowances paid does not surpass 6 months’ salary.

The ministry additionally explained that the magistrates’ strike had stopped the transfer of the files of the persons concerned to the judicial authorities in order to rule on them as soon as possible in accordance with the provisions of decree-law n ° 35 of 2022 of June 1, 2022.
