The Ministry of Religious Affairs issued a statement this Friday, September 18, 2020, asking worshipers in mosques to comply with the anti-COVID health protocol.
This call arises following the registration of infection, during the last two days, among the executives of the mosques, which ended in the suspension of prayer in these places of worship for sterilization and hygiene needs.
To this end, the people concerned are called to do their ablution at home, to bring their own prayer mat, to wear protective masks and to avoid the handshake.
According to the department, the goal is to keep these places of worship open while guaranteeing the safety of mosque officials and worshipers.
In addition, the Ministry of Religious Affairs affirmed the understanding and sacrifices of all parties involved during the last period which made it possible to preserve the mosques and to ensure that they do not turn into places of virus contamination.
