Tunisia-Ministry of the Interior confirms the existence of the tunnel leading to the residence of the Ambassador of France

The Interior Ministry confirmed on  November 3, 2021, the presence of a tunnel leading to the residence of the French Ambassador in Marsa.

After conducting a thorough inquiry, the ministry discovered that a person known to be extremist often visited a house in the vicinity of the Ambassador’s residence.

The search of the premises showed the existence of works for the construction of a tunnel.

According to the same source, the National Guard’s Counterterrorism Directorate General was tasked with carrying out the inquiry jointly with the prosecution.
