Tunisia-Ministry of the Interior: “One of the participants in the demonstration admitted having received 70 dinars”

The Ministry of the Interior said having obtained information regarding the distribution of money to encourage people to partake in the demonstration today at Avenue Habib Bourguiba. As part of the inquiry of a suspicious group, one of them, originally from southern Tunisia, confessed to having received 140 dinars from one of the parties calling for the organization of this demonstration. He also disclosed having shared the sum with one of his relatives, invited to the same event, at the rate of 70 dinars per person. According to the press release, the security units seized the sum (70 dinars) and a report was drawn up to this effect. After consultation with the public prosecutor, he demanded that the investigation be continued and that the required measures be taken in this regard.
