Tunisia-Moez Chakchouk: There is no question of investing in the old fleet

In preparation for the commencement of the school year, Transport Minister Moez Chakchouk announced yesterday that the ministry was ready to purchase new buses, emphasising that there is no question of investing in the old ageing fleet.

It is important to prepare an action plan based on the mobilization of all available capacities to secure a  back-to-school and university in the best conditions, he added.

National and regional land transport companies have to cope with a shortage of financial means, ageing of buses, trains and subways, consequently the delay in the implementation of investment programs relating to new acquisitions, said The Minister.
