Attorney and politician, Mohamed Abbou, believed that the case for which lawyer Abderrazek Kilani was apprehended, is not regarded as a crime, but rather it is a will to violate freedoms.
Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Abbou stressed that Article 80, which sought to combat corruption, to purge the judicial system of the corrupt, has become a tool for settling scores.
He again explained that “the crimes” that led to Kilani’s detention were not perpetrated against him and that the military court “is not qualified ” to deal with this kind of case, confirming that instructions were issued to arrest Kilani.
Abbou again condemned this type of practice, assuring that this case will not cease with the arrest of Kilani , but will continue with other people, which proves that the President of the Republic Kais Saied desires to impose a state of panic to confront his foes.
It is recalled that the investigating judge at the Military Court issued, on Wednesday March 2, 2022, a warrant of committal against the President of the Bar and former Minister Abderrazek Kilani.
