Tunisia-Mohamed Abbou calls for a boycott of the legislative elections

In an interview to a private radio, the former leader of the Democratic Current Mohamed Abbou called for a boycott of the legislative elections planned for December 17, 2022, according to the timetable declared by the President of the Republic Kais Saied.

According to Abbou, it is not suitable to organize elections on this date. The politician described these elections as illegitimate since they are part of a “coup d’etat” revealing that the Head of State could have organized early elections in order to respect the constitutional legitimacy.
