Tunisia-Mohamed Ayadi: The dismissal of Chawki Tabib is unconstitutional and the INLUCC will not respect it

According to Mohamed Ayadi, member of The National Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC), the dismissal of Chawki Tabib from the presidency of the body by the caretaker prime minister Elyes Fakhfakh, is a “Corrupt and unconstitutional political decision”.

Interviewed today, Thursday, August 27, 2020, on Mosaïque FM, Ayadi Ayadi said that given the illegality of this decision, according to the Council of the Inlucc, it was decided not to apply it.

Chawki Tabib will, therefore, continue his activities at the head of the body as if nothing had happened, pending the decision of the administrative court in this case, which will be requested by the president of the body.

“The Inlucc will not respect this decision because it is a violation of the law and the Constitution”, declared Mohamed Ayadi, who firmly denied the existence of any suspicion of corruption within the body, assuring that the Court of Auditors will soon issue its report to this effect.

He added: “The purpose of this information is to destabilize the INLUCC and damage its reputation and that of its members and its president.”
