The eighth chamber of the court of the first instance of Tunis convicted journalist Mohamed Boughalleb to six months in prison, according to what was reported by attorney Nafaa Al-Aribi, member of Boughalleb’s defence.
In a statement to TAP, Al-Aribi considered that this decision was unfair and contrary to reality and the law, underlining that the defense authority will present a request for appeal against this decision.
Boughlab appeared in the lawsuit filed against him by a worker of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, accused of insulting others via social networking sites and attributing illegal acts to a public official.
