Tunisia-Mohamed Nejib Bouslama: 30% of cows in Tunisia have tuberculosis

The president of the National Syndical Chamber of Veterinary Doctors, Mohamed Nejib Bouslama affirmed that the epidemic situation of animals in Tunisia is in the process of becoming disastrous, particularly since 30% of cows in Tunisia have tuberculosis.

In a statement made, this Friday to Tunisie Numérique, Bouslama cautioned about the risks of a boycott of animal vaccination campaigns, since 60% of human diseases are of animal origin, like the rage.

Bovine tuberculosis is a chronic animal disease due to a bacteria which is closely connected to the bacteria responsible for human and avian tuberculosis. This illness can strike almost all mammals, causing a decline of the general state, most often of cough and ultimately causing death.
