Tunisia-Mohamed Tlili Mansri: There are no restrictions…All press interviews will be permitted(Audio)

Board member of the Independent Higher Authority for Elections (ISIE) committee Mohamed Tlili Mansri stressed that the reminder issued by the ISIE, linked to the work of the press during this period before the referendum, seeks to regulate the electoral process and not restrict freedoms.

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, Mansri added that all interviews and press dialogues will be permitted until July 3, the date of the launch of the electoral campaign, and which will be controlled by other procedures.

He likewise indicated that the period of the electoral campaign will be managed by order and by way of a joint decision between the Electoral Commission and the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA), which will regulate the mechanisms of access to the media.
