Tunisia-Mohammad Safi: “These are the reasons that prompted us to call for a protest in front of Ministry of Education” [Video]

Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, General Secretary of the General University of Secondary EducationMohammad Safi said today, Friday, March 29, 2024, that the Sectoral Administrative Authority for Secondary Education took, on March 3rd, several steps in the form of demonstration against the blockage of means of negotiation with the Ministry of Education.

Safi added that among these decisions is the enactment of a gathering at the end of next April in front of the Ministry of Education, remarking that this decision comes after 3 correspondences that were presented to the supervisory authority to sit at the negotiating table, but the Ministry did not respond with any of these correspondences.

The same source also stressed that the Ministry had placed several conditions that are not common in union work, so the decision to hold a protest was made, which would be backed by their colleagues in basic education and the substitute professors.
