Tunisia-Mohsen Marzouk: ` Ghannouchi will drag Ennahda to the abyss because of his clutching to his position

Commenting on Rached Ghannouchi attachment to his position as Ennahdha leader, President of” Machrouu Tounes,” Mohsen Marzouk said that Ghannouchi was on the verge of dragging the parliament to the abyss due to his attachment to its presidency and he is currently repeating the same scenario.

Speaking to Shems FM on the conflict on the Islamic party presidency, he estimated that the reason lies in the fact that the party embodies “an extension of the international Muslim Brotherhood movement” in which Ghannouchi is considered not simply a party president but rather a “guide and imam.”

Marzouki deemed the party to be not just a political opponent, but rather a “social and national enemy and one of the causes of the major crisis in the country,” remarking that Ennahda failed to transform into a democratic movement or participate in building democracy because it is “a brotherly movement that does not have a democratic mind.”.
