Tunisia – Monastir: Entering barley and fodder load truck

The Economic Control Team, affiliated with the Regional Directorate of Trade and Development of Exports in Monastir, in conjunction with the Research and Inspection Team of the National Guard, based in the District of Teboulba, seized 1.5 tonnes of barley and saddari.

This operation happened at the end of this week when a truck transporting merchandise was stopped on the ring road in Monine. In a statement to the Tap Agency, the regional director of trade provided details of the operation.

The seizure was made because the owner of the goods failed to submit any legal documentation to verify the lawful possession of these items. The authorities intend to reintroduce the confiscated products into the market through legal channels, guaranteeing that their value benefits the State’s public Treasury.

This action by the economic control team is part of an effort to enforce economic violations related to the violation of grant agreements and the illegal trade of subsidized items.
