Tunisia-Monastir records a fifth death and 67 new cases of coronavirus

67 new local infections, a fifth death and two recoveries were identified in Monastir, the regional director of health, Hammouda el Babba told the TAP.

The infections are distributed as of 8:00 am on Sunday to 18 delegations as follow:

  • Delegation of Monastir:18 cases
  • Delegation of Jemmal:11
  • Ouardanine: 10 cases
  • Sahline;10 cases
  • Ksar Hellal:9 cases
  • Moknine:3 cases
  • Sayada-Lamta-Bou Hajar :2 cases
  • Zaramidin: 1 case
  • 3 identified cases

The tally consequently rises as of September 20 to  931   since the beginning of the pandemic including 828  active cases, according to Mr Babba.

The same source also pointed out that the tally of recoveries rose to 98 after registering two new cases of healing. He further revealed that 44 people are currently in compulsory isolation while 2676 are in self-isolation, adding that the number of people who finished compulsory quarantine and self-isolation has reached 10519.
