Tunisia-Moncef Chrigui: Socialist Party will boycott legislative elections

In an interview on the radio,  the Socialist Party secretary general  Moncef Chrighui voiced reservations on the new Constitution which was recently promulgated by the Head of State.

“This is Kais Saied’s Constitution. Only 30% of voters approved this project, which is why our party will boycott the legislative elections planned for December 17, “he said believing that the President of the Republic has eliminated political parties by opting for uninominal elections.

Chrigui stated that the next parliament will be similar to the tribal council.
