Tunisia-Moncef Marzouki is on hunger strike

Former president of Tunisia, Mohamed Moncef Marzouki, declared that he has decided to start a hunger strike as a sign of solidarity with the detainees implicated in the case of conspiracy against state security in Tunisia.

In a post published on his official page, he explained that “The hunger strike is a form of symbolic protest often used by political activists to draw attention to important issues” according to him.
