Tunisia-Mongi Ben Heriz calls for ensuring regular supply of rice to market

President of the Tunisian celiac disease association Mongi Ben Heriz, reiterated on Tuesday his call to the authorities concerned to secure a regular supply of rice to the market.

Ben Heriz specified in a statement to TAP that the association received assistance from the Tunisian Union of Social Solidarity (UTSS) for the benefit of around 250 families at the rate of 5kg per family.

He believed this quantity to be insufficient. The association ensures the distribution of the aid received, said Ben Heriz, emphasising that contacts are underway with the authorities concerned in order to find radical solutions to make rice available on the market and in sufficient quantity.

Indeed, the president of the association recollected in this same vein that the number of needy families who need help (because of celiac disease) is estimated at 3 thousand families.
