Tunisia-More military patrols deployed to force general lockdown

Three hundred military patrols were deployed to enforce the general lockdown decided over the spread of coronavirus, the National Defence Ministry said.

Their number will be increased as of Tuesday and accompanied by air patrols in the governorates of Greater Tunis, Bizerte, Sfax and Gabes as well as in the regions of Ben Guerdane and Djerba.

Police and military units will be jointly patrolling nationwide, except in some areas where only military patrols will be deployed, Defence Ministry Spokesperson Commander Mohamed Zekri Tuesday told TAP.
