Tunisia: More than 500 specialists expected at 1st African Surgery Congress

More than 500 specialists from various Arab and African countries are participating in the work of the 1st African Surgery Congress and the 44th National Surgery Congress organized in Tunis from October 12 to 14, 2023 at the initiative of the Tunisian Surgery Association.

Speaking at the opening of the proceedings, the Minister of Health, Ali Mrabet called for the composition of an African university of general surgery, underscoring the significance of partnership and the exchange of expertise in all medical specialties between African countries.

The minister emphasized the importance of designing common strategies to improve health services provided to citizens in all medical specialities, reports Tap.
