Reporter Mouna Bouazizi told a private radio today that an MP and security officers are involved in importing quantities of rotten and inappropriate coffee from Libya to Tunisia.
She pointed out that the smuggler was arrested in a flagrante delicto in possession of 20,000 coffee bags. It was later discovered that the latter was employing the car of a deputy affiliated with the Echaab Movement.
The journalist explained that this took place before July 25.
According to her, a security framework intervened to hide the assets before the warehouses were raided. Mouna Bouazizi stated in the same context that deputies attempted to pressure and close the file.
The officer who handled the case was frozen and transferred to Ben Arous, the journalist said.
