The regional director of Civil Protection, Mohamed Ali Ben Behi told the TAP that reinforcements from Sousse, Kebili, Sidi Bouzid, Kasserine as well as those from the national school of Djebel Jelloud and the special unit of the Civil Protection who backed the efforts of the Civil Protection of Siliana to fight the fire left the scene after the fire was under control.
He added that Siliana civil protection agents are still on site to prevent the fire from starting again. More than 300 officers mobilized to put out the fire, he said.
