Tunisia: Moving Towards Improved Operations at Ichkeul National Park

The Minister of Tourism Sofiene Tekaya, highlighted, on Saturday, the significance of developing a common and consensual program to better exploit the Ichkeul National Park and value it more.

He added, following a working visit he made in the space of the park with the governor of Bizerte, Salem Ben Yacoub, that after having examined the reality of the national park and diagnosed its situation, the work will be carried out In coordination with all local parts and structures, at regional and central level, to develop a realistic common plan which globally ensures sustainable governance of space and which makes it possible to complete all the development objectives required, as well as on the social level, especially environmental.

The Minister underlined the necessity to unite efforts to create ways of success for these programs and thus enhance the place and make it known so that it becomes an additional engine of ecotourism, research, education and promotion .
