Tunisia-Mustapha Ben Ahmed: Bill on protection of internal security forces does not offer immunity

President of Tahya Tounes parliamentary bloc, Mustapha Ben Ahmed, noted on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, on the refusal of  “I Watch” of the bill to protect the armed forces and security, ensuring that it does not provide them immunity.

Ben Ahmed said that “this project has greatly improved after the introduction of the amendments by civil and associative parties and the security unions”.

He said the law does not guarantee special immunity for the armed forces, but rather the legal framework for more comfortable security movement in certain areas.

Ben Ahmed added that it is not possible that this law is in contradiction with the spirit of the Constitution, ensuring that it is only a framework to facilitate safe work only in sensitive areas.
