Speaking to Tunisie Numérique,Tahya Tounes MP Mustapha Ben Ahmed responded to the speech of the President of the Republic Kais Said, broadcast on a French channel, which generated vast controversy and in which the latter declared that the political situation in Tunisia scares foreign investors.
The MP emphasised that the search for investments does not fall under the jurisdiction of the President of the Republic, revealing that Kais Said is responsible for securing and maintaining good external relations.
Mustapha Ben Ahmed further remarked that the subject has taken on an importance it does not deserve, explaining that some parties are attempting to distract citizens from important issues, including negotiations between the Tunisian government and international financial institutions.
He clarified that this is his position and not that of the Tahya Tounes side.
