Tunisia – Nabeul: A 7-month-old baby dies in an anarchic nursery

A seven-month-old infant passed away on Monday in a house in a town in the governorate of Nabeul, which the owner had converted into an anarchic nursery.

The owner of the house stated she gave the baby a compote before going to bed and when she woke him up, she realized he was in pain and had foam on his lips. He was rushed to the  hospital and declared dead.

The prosecution decided to keep the owner of the house on bail, pending the result of the autopsy to find out the reason for the child death.

The Ministry of Women and Family is calling on parents to avoid putting their children in lawless establishments which are not authorized to receive children.
