Tunisia- Nabil Karoui: A request for compulsory release

Nabil Karoui’s attorney Ramzi Ben Daya today filed a compulsory release request for Qalb Tounes leader Nabil Karoui.

Ramzi Ben Daya also maintained that the maximum period of preventive arrest has transpired since May 8, which is more than 17 days (including the days of detention in August 2019 and the current period of detention).

He stated the investigating judge did not prolong the length of Karoui’s detention and order his release, which the lawyer said was a blatant breach of the law.
