Tunisia-Nabil Karoui: I thank President Kais Saied for choosing Hichem Mechichi

In a special interview with Al Araby TV, Qalb Tounes president Nabil Karoui thanked the president of the republic Kais Saied for choosing Hichem Mechichi for the prime ministry

Mechichi is “a patriotic man with an idea,” adding that they chose to support him for the sake of government stability.

The same source said that half of the current cabinet was formed in the Carthage Palace and that 7 or 8 ministers were not identified to the PM adding that he had nothing to do with them.

The president of the republic does not have a program, a political belt, neither does he have a party either, said Karoui adding that his jurisdictions are limited due to the political system.

He stressed that “the President of the Republic, did not lie and said that he has no program,” expressing his surprise for voting for him.

He said that “Saied is an unusual person who does not like dialogue and has no intention of entering into one,” pointing out that he is has a preconceived idea about political parties.
